Celebrating Safe Place for Youth's 1st MATCH in Los Angeles!

Congratulations to S.P.Y on their first Match!

We are thrilled to report that on March 1st Safe Place for Youth(S.P.Y) had their first guest move into a Host Home! Mersadeis and her son have been staying as guests in the home of Tena and Blair Frank, two of SPY’s amazing volunteers and supporters.

Mersadeis will be working with SPY staff to attain permanent housing for her family while she’s staying with her host family. The Frank’s  and Mersadeis are excited to be laying the foundation for a long-lasting and meaningful relationship. Through kindness and a giving heart, the Frank’s gave Mersadeis and her son a future and hope.

If you are interested in being a part of this innovative, community-driven approach to supporting our youth experiencing homelessness, we invite you to learn more about SPY’s Host Homes Program by reaching out to Michal David, Host Homes Program Coordinator, at michald@safeplaceforyouth.org.

Safe Place for Youth’s mission is to inspire, nurture, and empower the resilient human spirit of homeless youth by providing immediate and lasting solutions, one young person at a time.
