Isis Awad (she/her) is a curator, event producer, and poet from Cairo, Egypt. Formally trained in Economics and Curatorial Studies, Awad has dedicated her over decade-long career of project management and event planning to uplifting at-risk and marginalized communities. She is the Founding Director of Executive Care*, a curatorial practice guided by the core principles of care, trust, slowness, and mutual aid at the service of underrepresented queer and trans artists of color from performance and nightlife communities. Before taking on this role at PSY, Isis collaborated and led projects with organizations such as The Ford Foundation, Visual AIDS, Participant Inc, and the Brooklyn Museum in New York. Her writing appears in periodicals such as BOMB Magazine, Art Papers, the Brooklyn Rail, ArtAsiaPacific Magazine, and Movement Research Journal.
