yOUNG PEOPLE DESERVE SAFE, SECURE, AFFIRMING HOUSING, AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES OF THEIR CHOOSING.

What privileges did you experience ages 18-24 to explore yourself, make mistakes, experiment, and discover new passions and interests? Young people experiencing homelessness are just that, young people — and they deserve the freedom and agency to carve their own pathways forward, to explore their vibrancy, to thrive, and to stabilize out of homelessness on their terms.

Our four interventions are grounded in youth choice, independence, supportive wrap-around services, and the housing-first principle. We believe that all people have the unconditional right to housing and that the choices we make shouldn’t disqualify us from our basic human rights. Every single young person deserves secure housing.

Our team of technical assistance experts provides comprehensive support to communities across the country interested in implementing, expanding, and evaluating rapid re-housing, host homes, direct cash transfers, and family & kinship strengthening programs for youth. Together, we can end youth homelessness.

DIRECT CASH TRANSFERS

Direct Cash Transfers (DCT) are a growing global intervention proven to meet the needs of young people remotely, digitally, and efficiently. Program staff distributes cash to youth either remotely or safely in person at a frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) that works best for them. Service providers can offer optional support programs with a peer navigator including higher education and career counseling in addition to traditional case management.
