Associate Director, Technical Assistance

Julia Terry (they/themme) nurtures belonging at the intersection of community and resource access. They believe it is essential to well-being that we cocreate spaces where all people can safely explore, live as their authentic selves, and be fully celebrated. Julia was raised in beloved community on Yupik lands (Yukon–Kuskokwim Delta) and on Lower Tanana Dene lands (Interior of Alaska). They look to the shared knowledge of family (chosen and of origin) for guidance and support. As a clinician, advocate, educator, facilitator, support person, and relative, Julia has predominately worked in youth-driven, grassroots, mutual aid, and low-to-no-barrier programs for the past 20 years. They previously were a member of a community-driven collective dedicated to addressing LGBTQ+ youth homelessness specifically through the intervention of Host Homes. Their lived experience informs all of their work and they deeply believe in following youth where they lead. They hold a G.E.D. and a Master’s of Social Work.
