As a teen I experienced being displaced from my home and spent the majority of my teen years in the juvenile system and as a runaway. With little to no support I eventually got involved into sex work to sustain. After giving birth to my first child I applied for Calworks/ Welfare to Work to assist me in finding employment, expenses with college, food and other necessities. Started to have more of a support system with my employment counselor and housing navigator at my side. In less than 1 year my life was starting to change for the better. I was first housed and then employed shortly after. That is when I started to see the importance of accessible supportive services, so in 2018 I co created a Youth Action Board (YAB) in Alameda County. I felt so empowered when I led my first focus groups and began advocating for youth in need of equitable housing and supportive services. That eventually led me to connecting with PSY in 2022 where I now have an even bigger and badder support system of people who share the same fire, for uplifting the voices of young people.

I strive to continue to be the voice and light for teens and young adults, so that no young person has to feel alone or powerless during their trials. My passion is to create a program that is dedicated to protecting and uplifting runaway youth. I also want to bring more awareness to Labor Sex Work and the stipulations around it, and how systemic racism plays a huge part in why labor sex workers are targeted and criminalized. I envision to one day create a safe space for sex workers where they can come and receive any support they may need without the fear of being punished or judged.
