Our targeted housing assistance program is a scalable, youth-driven intervention designed to prevent youth homelessness. Modeled after Washington State’s Homelessness Prevention and Diversion Fund (HPDF), the program stabilizes a young person’s housing situation by providing a one-time cash payment, determined by the needs outlined in a personalized housing plan.

In addition to our 7-state report on direct cash for prevention, we published a report of initial findings on our direct cash program in NYC. Findings from that report showed that 92% of young adults agreed that the cash helped them find safe and stable housing, and 90% said it supported them in achieving their goals.)
