Bria Hutson

Bria Hutson(she/her), is an ambitious, innovative Black woman, mother, business leader, and active community member, with hands-on experience providing business management, program development, and social justice. Born and raised in Oakland, Bria is a Rebel with a big heart, who uses her journey to uplift others.  

From becoming a teen mother, then a single mother of 2 by 20, while navigating housing insecurities, and negative pushback for her decisions, she graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration- Accounting, from California State East Bay, and has dedicated her time to advancing her community. Bria's goal is to inspire and empower communities that have historically been disenfranchised and continue to be disposed of by society. Her passion is highlighted in her work, as an entrepreneur and public figure. She is equipping people with the tools to make healthier decisions: via financial empowerment workshops and nutritional enrichment within Oakland. Bria is a founding member of Alameda County’s Youth Action Board, and previously consulted with Point Source Youth to build several DCT & DCT- P Communities. 

Bria is hella excited to join the PSY Youth Leadership Team. She loves working directly with people, especially youth because they are the now and the future! She loves to build community, create opportunities, and put people in positions to excel. All in all, Bria is showing the world that we all have the power to build and live the life that we truly desire. As long as we stay tapped into who we are at the core, our purpose, and never let anyone infiltrate it!
